Here's new book by Ken Johnsen that covers the Daylight locomotives in all classes from the first GS-2 to the last GS-6 models. Color and black and white, this is an excellent manual on operating the locomotive, what all the guages and valves in the cab do and an overall good description of how these magnificent machines work.
A nice touch is the chapter interviewing Doyle McCormack, the person behind the restoration and continued operation of the Daylight called "ask the man who owns one." Pictures of the Daylight in excursion service give views of where she has been since the 1975 Freedom Train era.
While the official bible of the Daylight, Trains 98 and 99 by Richard Wright gives a comprehensive view into the locomotives and the cars of the train, this publication only deals with the locomotives.
Soft bound, 112 pages.
